The two look like they could be cousins; if you take away Anthony Joshua‘s height and Drake‘s beard. But the two couldn’t be more different- one is a heavyweight boxer and the other is a rapper who started out as a child actor. The best of both worlds met up in a boxing gym in London where Joshua was training ahead of his title defence with American Jarrel “Big Baby” Miller in June.
Drake has been a boxing aficionado for a while now but he has also had the infamous “curse” attached to his sports connections. “The Drake Curse” as is called became a thing when a number of sports teams he has publicly supported went on to lose. For one, his hometown basketball team, Toronto Raptors, has not reached the NBA playoffs since 1999. When he started supporting the Miami Heat after their championship win in 2006, they lost the following year. He also supported UFC fighter Colin McGregor in his fight against Floyd Mayweather.
